About Whitney
I am a singing tutor with 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, focusing on jazz and blues improvisation. I teach scat singing, melodic embellishment, and harmony to help students develop their own style. Lessons integrate ear training, theory, and practical application for a balanced approach. I work with singers of all levels, emphasising technique, performance skills, and musical understanding. Improvisation is taught step by step, fostering creativity and confidence. I help students develop stylistic awareness and expressive phrasing. Each session includes exercises to strengthen range, tone, and control. Lessons encourage experimentation within a structured framework. Students gain both technical mastery and artistic freedom. I focus on creating engaging, inspiring, and effective lessons.
