About Alannah
My name is Alannah Burford. I have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree from WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), specialising in Contemporary Voice. I also have a strong theory background, having completed the Music ATAR (Jazz) course in 2016 and continuing with aural, theory, and arranging units throughout my WAAPA degree. I perform regularly around Perth at venues such as the Ellington Jazz Club and Rosemount Hotel.

I offer vocal lessons to all age groups (specialising in school-aged kids) with a focus on technique, breathing, warm-up exercises, and posture, as well as building up a range of repertoire in the style/s you would like to work on. I have experience in assisting students in a variety of areas, including:
Developing the voice by learning how the body works to create the sound you would like to produce;
Developing an understanding of music harmony, pitch and rhythm;
Work on songwriting/composing;
Preparation for vocal/WACE exams.
