About Zoe
Want to improve your children's study skills during the school holidays? Do you want to help your child to get prepared for the next academic year? Or perhaps you enjoy the idea of a structured weekly class during the fun of the holidays. Join me for a number of one to one lessons, or small group classes over the summer. I will hold weekly classes on how to improve study skills, take notes, and make the most out of the use of texts. I am also available to practice for 11+ and independent school interviews. I have over two years of tutoring experience, working with students from Primary aged to Secondary. I hold hold a BA in Education, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate. I am currently completing my Msc in Mental Health, Ethics and Law and specialise in teaching students with special educational needs.

I firmly believe in self directed learning, with students taking an active role in the lessons and participating in creating their content. If you have ever had trouble finding the excitement for a session of double maths or sitting through a two hour meeting, you know how hard it can be to motivate an unwilling child to take interest in a in a subject. I structure my lessons around the knowledge that the student already has, and build upon it with encouragement, practice and frequent informal testing. Encouragement ensures that a student is willing to come back to a subject, and making it fun and practical ensures this even more. Study skills are a practical and efficient way of ensuring that students are able to prepare confidently for any academic situation. Come and join me over the summer for some fun, practical study skill sessions.

Please contact me with at least 48 hours notice of the lesson if you need to cancel, after that I will charge half the cost of the lesson. If you cancel the same day I will charge the full cost.
