About Miles
I was the Co-Principal Trumpet with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for over tens years. I moved back to London to free-lance, where I played with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony and Concert Orchestras, London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra as well as regularly playing in West-End shows such as Phantom of the Opera and Mary Poppins.
In 1991 I was the winner of the prestigious Shell/LSO Music Scholarship Competition. I also won the Guildhall School of Music Brass Competition and Chairsmans Prize.
I have appeared as a soloist with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphonietta, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the Aminta Orchestra.
I have been teaching the trumpet and other brass instruments for the last 20 years, both in schools, privately and online.I

As a professional musician I know how important it is to have a solid foundation as a player. I provide exercises to enable my students to expand their range and stamina, and encourage them to listen and refine their sound as they develop.
I teach all styles of playing from Classical to Jazz Improvisation, and all levels from beginners to professionals.
