About Angelica

Hi! I'm Angelica, a visual designer and illustrator from Taiwan, currently based in Toowoomba, Australia. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Visual Design from National Kaohsiung Normal University.
Before moving to Australia, I spent over five years teaching children's art while also working across art, design, and other creative fields. My professional experience includes graphic design, mural painting, photography assistance, and illustration projects for boutique accommodations and commercial brands.
I especially enjoy creating portraits and illustrations inspired by people, emotions, and the meaningful stories found in everyday life.

Lessons are adapted to each student's age, interests, and experience. Younger learners often explore art through playful, hands-on creativity, while older students can focus more on drawing, painting, and developing technical skills.

What you can expect to learn
• Watercolor techniques — my favorite medium and one of my specialties.
• Drawing and sketching using pencil, fineliner, marker, charcoal, colored pencil, acrylic, and other traditional media.
• Creative art techniques using a variety of materials, textures, mixed media, and unexpected tools. (Especially popular with younger learners.)
• 2D, relief, and 3D projects using clay, collage, paper sculpture, paper cutting, origami, and other hands-on materials.
• Observation, form, proportion, composition, and perspective.
• Color theory, illustration, and visual storytelling.
• Creative thinking and different ways to express ideas through art.
• Optional exploration of techniques such as stamp carving or simple printmaking.
Every lesson is tailored to your goals, interests, age, and experience.
I don't believe there's only one "right" way to create art. To me, strong artistic skills aren't about following rules—they're about giving you the freedom to create what you imagine.
Whether your goal is realistic drawing, expressive illustration, or simply enjoying the creative process, I'll help you build the skills to bring your own ideas to life.
