I have an MA in Film and Television. I write about film for various publications and have taught university and community college classes in film and communications for over 15 years. In addition, I cover various film festivals and interview filmmakers.

Go beyond lights, camera, action! Early film is actually quite fascinating. As are genres like Film Noir, movements like the French New Wave, and things like backstory, foreshadowing. and how shadows are used.
Tutoring geared to high school, gen ed. classes in college, Film Studies majors.
What I do: we go over your reading and assignments if you are in a class, I can assign specific films, and work with you on how to write a thoughtful paper that will be acceptable o class.
