About Layla
Teaching has always been more than just a job for me—it’s my passion. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed when given the right support and encouragement. That’s why I’ve dedicated myself to helping young learners build confidence in Afrikaans, English, and Mathematics through personalized, engaging, and flexible lessons.
I understand that no two children learn the same way, so I create lessons that meet them where they are, making learning feel natural and enjoyable. My WhatsApp-based tutoring provides a safe and supportive space where students can ask questions, practice at their own pace, and celebrate their progress—big or small.
Beyond tutoring, I’ve created ProjectRead, a collection of educational resources designed to help parents support their children’s literacy journey at home. I believe that learning doesn’t stop when the lesson ends, and with the right tools, every child can develop a love for reading and learning.
More than anything, I want my students to know that they are capable, that mistakes are part of the learning process, and that with patience and persistence, they can achieve more than they ever imagined.
