About Sushma
With 12 years of tutoring experience and a MSc in Supramolecular Chemistry, I’m passionate about the chemistry of polymers, composites, and nanomaterials. Lessons combine theory with real-world examples, making complex concepts accessible and engaging. We might examine how a polymer’s molecular weight affects its strength or why carbon nanotubes are so light yet strong. I link each concept to its role in industries like healthcare, aerospace, and sustainable manufacturing. My approach is interactive, often using case studies, visualizations, and practical examples. Students leave understanding not just the ""what"" but the ""why"" of materials chemistry. This knowledge empowers them to contribute to innovations that matter.

My chemistry teaching approach is designed to create confident, capable learners. I focus on analytical chemistry, spectroscopy (NMR, IR, UV-Vis), chromatography, and quantitative analysis. Lessons combine clear explanations with hands-on problem-solving. Each topic is introduced with simple foundations and expanded into practical applications. Students see how these tools are used in actual labs. For students pursuing genetics or microbiology, I provide targeted support in lab-based analytical skills. Spectroscopy is taught through real spectrum interpretation, chromatography through separation problem-solving, and quantitative analysis through accuracy-focused exercises. Case examples from pharmaceuticals, materials, and biotech keep learning relevant. I use visual aids, interactive questions, and guided data analysis to build understanding. Students also learn to troubleshoot common experimental issues. The learning environment is supportive but challenging, pushing them to grow. I encourage curiosity and deeper thinking in every session. The aim is to prepare students for both academic success and real-world research demands.
