My interest in teaching Chinese started during my high school years, where I took up several part-time Chinese tutoring jobs. Over the years, I have taught Chinese to both children and adults, including many foreign nationals working in China. I believe my extensive teaching experience has honed my teaching skills, and I have developed a unique teaching methodology that is proven to be effective.
My teaching approach focuses on making the learning process fun and engaging for my students. I believe that creating a comfortable learning environment is essential in fostering positive learning outcomes. I always make sure to tailor my teaching methods to the specific needs of my students, ensuring they get the most out of their learning experience.
Here is an example for pinyin teaching plan:
Grade Level: Beginner Level
Lesson Objective:
By the end of this lesson, student will be able to recognize and pronounce basic Pinyin sounds and spell his/her own names using Pinyin.
Introduction:
1. Introduce my self and explain the lesson objective.
2. Provide an overview of the Chinese Pinyin system and its importance in learning the Chinese language.
Body:
1. Introduce the basic Pinyin sounds and their corresponding spellings using a Pinyin chart and PowerPoint presentation.
2. Demonstrate the correct pronunciation of each sound and provide examples of how to use them in words and sentences.
3. Teach the student how to spell her/his name using Pinyin and have them practice spelling their names aloud.
Closure:
1. Recap the lesson objective and review the key points of the lesson.
2. Provide feedback on her/his' progress and answer any questions.
