About James
I want to teach because I wish I had access to additional help throughout my GCSE's and A-Levels. Not having a tutor throughout my exams was one of my biggest regrets and I want to welcome and support all my students in every way I can. I have previously tutored family/family friends going through their GCSE's and realised how much enjoy helping people through daunting periods.
By receiving unique tutoring sessions throughout my master's degree from leading experts in their respective research fields, I understand the key skills required to be supportive, install confidence, and adopt the right attitude towards learning.
My time at university has allowed me to pick up a range of revision and study methods which I have used in combination to enhance my understanding and recall. it would be a privilege to have the opportunity to share these techniques and help students strive towards success.

I learn most effectively by understanding the basic concepts and building from these to create a clear, detailed, and articulate narrative. Some concepts in biology can difficult to grasp initially. However, using interactive online tools and a diverse range of resources will establish a well polished understanding. I believe a 45 minute session with 15 minutes at the end for questions is the best way to get the most out of the time available and will allow the session to be tailored to the requirements of the student. I have recently completed an integrated master's course in Biomedical Science and am progressing into a PhD specialising in Biotechnology innovations. Life Science is my passion and hobby. Despite having limited experience as a tutor, my enthusiasm and enjoyment of this topic will shine through to provide the best possible tutoring experience. Through tutoring, I aspire to give back what I wish I accessed throughout my GCSEs and a Levels
