About Nikhil
I am a passionate draughtsman, illustrator and professional storyboard artist working for clients such as Sky TV, Ribena, KP Crisps and Patron. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2006 and have worked as a 2D animator and illustrator for a top London Ad agency. For the last five years I have freelanced as a visualiser and storyboard artist. I keep my skills sharp with weekly life drawing classes in Soho and follow many concept artist tutorials online, always learning and growing in my craft : ) I love taking the best and most effective ways to learn drawing fundamentals and teaching/sharing my knowledge. As a qualified yoga teacher too I am very flexible physically but more importantly mentally : P and can easily adjust my approach and speed to best fit your personality and desired way of learning. For example some learn better visually and others verbally with metaphors.

I will take you from quick warm-up drills to some fundamental drawing exercises with focus on form and perspective to begin with. Over 20 years of drawing and learning I have cultivated many approaches to improving fast and effectively. I have worked as a professional illustrator and storyboard artist in advertising for over 10 years and go to life drawing classes in London weekly. Iteration and filling many pages is my methodology for a beginner's first lesson. An hour lesson broken into three chunks of 20 mins has proven to be most effective but I am flexible and can work to your preference of time. There will be some homework, and I am sure you will enjoy it : ) I have taught mostly children aged 10 to 18 but some adult beginners too. I have a class for all levels and would love to make learning fun for all. Thanks, Nik
