About Mila
I’m a singing tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and a BM in Jazz Vocal Performance. My teaching focuses on providing personalised lessons for singers of every level—school-aged beginners, college auditionees, and adult professionals. My speciality is Broadway and musical theatre, where character acting and vocal storytelling are essential. Lessons focus on belt technique, stage presence, and agility, preparing singers for demanding roles. I integrate ear training, harmony, improvisation, and theory into lessons for complete musicianship. Building vocal confidence is one of my strengths, and I create a safe, supportive space for growth. My approach is interactive and encouraging, balancing structure with creativity. Safe vocal techniques guide every exercise, ensuring power without strain. I love seeing students discover their own authentic sound and stage identity. Every voice has something unique to offer, and my role is to help bring that out. Lessons are both challenging and fun, pushing students to their potential. The focus of my teaching is on creating healthy, confident singers with sustainable techniques. I work with students of all levels, including soloists preparing for stage and ensemble singers performing in church. Lessons are structured around the needs of the individual voice. My approach includes training in breath control, vocal agility, and safe belt technique. I pay special attention to stamina, which is crucial for those who sing often, like touring performers or church musicians. Vocal fatigue is addressed through warm-ups, cool-downs, and proper pacing. I also cover pre- and post-performance care routines that preserve long-term vocal health. Soloists are guided in stage presence and expressive storytelling. Ensemble players learn to blend smoothly without losing vocal strength. I also integrate ear training, harmony, and improvisation to build musical flexibility.
