About Véronique
Originally from Northern Ontario, Véronique Sylvain lives in Ottawa, where she serves as the Director of Promotion and Communications at Éditions David, a publishing house based in Ottawa. Her poems have appeared in several journals as well as in the collective anthologies Poèmes de la résistance (Prise de parole, 2019) and Projet TERRE (David, 2021).
Her first poetry collection, Premier quart (Prise de parole, 2019), earned her the Trillium Poetry Prize, the Ottawa Book Award in 2020, the Champlain Prize, and the AAOF Emerging Literary Prize in 2021. Her most recent poetry collection, En terrain miné, was published in September 2024 by Prise de parole.
