About Kiera
With a degree in communications and more than ten years of professional experience, I support students in writing, editing, and communications. My goal is to encourage learning that goes beyond a single assignment, and results in confident, high performing communicators.
My approach is results-driven and practical, with a focus on skills development rather than just completing tasks. I know I’ve done my job if students walk away with confidence and independence.

I teach with a focus on creative problem solving. I feel a student's ability to recall skills or lessons learned comes from having solved the problem for themselves, not from having been told the answer immediately. My focus is on teaching students who are looking to improve spelling, grammar, comprehension, and writing level.
In my lessons, students can expect support in:
- crafting essays and assignments that are clear, compelling, and well-structured
- reviewing core concepts of the English language, including grammar and structure
- refining personal statements, applications, and resumes for impact
- preparing for interviews and presentations
- reviewing classroom feedback and past assignments for future improvement and learning.
