About Mira
With over 10 years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Molecular Biology, I’ve developed a deep passion for exploring the biological roots of behaviour. I specialise in ethology and animal behaviour studies, using these lenses to explain key concepts in evolutionary psychology and behavioural ecology. My lessons often centre on how instincts, learned behaviours, and survival strategies shape the lives of animals in the wild. I love teaching students about communication in animals—from complex social structures in primates to the subtle signals used by insects and birds. Understanding the why behind behaviour helps us see evolution in action. I make sure students grasp not only the theory but the real-world examples that bring it to life. Through the study of animal adaptations and behaviour, I guide learners to connect biological function with ecological success. My teaching approach in biology is highly practical and student-focused. I emphasise clear understanding through the use of visual aids like diagrams, interactive illustrations, and real-life case studies. This method works especially well when exploring subjects such as human anatomy, physiology, organ systems, and disease mechanisms. I believe that breaking down complex ideas into manageable parts helps students retain knowledge better. Lessons are structured to cover key concepts step-by-step, always linking structure to function. I also introduce students to basic medical terminology to prepare them for health-related fields. We focus on applying biological principles, not just memorising them. Students get plenty of opportunities to engage with examples relevant to their goals, especially those interested in beauty science or lab work. I provide tailored support for those aiming to enter medical, cosmetic, or research professions. Concepts are reinforced through thoughtful questioning and applied problem-solving. I encourage curiosity and guide learners to think critically about how the body works. From cellular processes to full-body systems, I help them connect the dots.
