Hi! I’m a piano tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music. I specialise in helping students explore their creativity through pop piano arranging, modern chord voicings, and playing by ear. Whether you’re just starting out or working towards advanced mastery, I tailor each lesson to your unique goals and musical interests. My approach is supportive, flexible, and engaging. I work with students of all levels—from complete beginners to experienced players refining their craft. If you love pop, rock, R&B, or contemporary worship music, I’ll help you bring those styles to life at the keys. We’ll cover everything from rhythmic groove and left-hand patterns to improvisation and how to accompany yourself or others. I also enjoy helping students decode their favourite songs and build strong ear-training habits. My lessons are designed to keep things fun, inspiring, and rooted in real-world musical skills. My piano teaching focuses on helping students become truly intuitive musicians. I place a strong emphasis on ear training—learning to identify chords, melodies, and rhythms by ear. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, developing strong listening skills is key to growth. We explore how to recognise musical patterns without always needing sheet music. You’ll learn how songs are built, how harmonies function, and how to hear what you want to play. I also guide students who are interested in building perfect pitch or improving their relative pitch. If you love composing, producing, or creating your own music, my lessons will help you connect what you hear in your mind to your hands on the keys. We’ll work on playing by ear, improvising, and creating your own arrangements. My lessons are supportive, flexible, and shaped around your musical goals. I believe that anyone can learn to hear more deeply and play more freely. With the right guidance, ear training becomes exciting, not overwhelming. Let’s strengthen your ears, unlock your creativity, and build your confidence at the piano.
