About Yara
I have over 7 years of experience teaching piano and hold an Advanced Diploma in Piano Performance. My greatest joy as a teacher is helping students connect emotionally with the music they play. I believe music is more than just notes on a page—it’s a form of expression that can inspire and heal. In my lessons, I focus on building a strong foundation in both theory and technique. Understanding the basics helps students play with confidence and freedom. I tailor each lesson to fit the student’s goals and learning style, whether they want to perform, compose, or simply enjoy playing. I encourage creativity and expression while guiding students through proper finger technique, sight-reading, and rhythm. My approach balances discipline with fun, making sure learning feels rewarding every step of the way. Seeing my students grow in skill and passion is what drives me. My piano teaching approach is based on steady growth, creativity, and making music a personal experience for each student. I design individual lesson plans that fit your pace, style, and goals—whether you're just starting or looking to deepen your musical journey. Musicality is at the heart of every lesson. I help students not just play notes, but feel the music.
Confidence is key, so I create a supportive space where students feel free to try, make mistakes, and improve. I teach classical, pop, jazz, soul, and more, giving students the freedom to explore different genres. For those who compose or create, I guide you in developing original music, improvisation, and songwriting.
We also focus on technique, ear training, and rhythm to build a strong foundation. For students who find healing or joy in music, lessons can be a calm and expressive outlet. I adjust each session to how you learn best—visually, by ear, or through movement.
