About Lara
I am an English tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MA in Global English and Intercultural Communication. I am passionate about teaching English as a second language through the lens of environmental activism and sustainability. My lessons help learners build vocabulary for ecological issues and discuss innovative climate solutions. I guide students in engaging with global conservation efforts while improving fluency. We explore topics like renewable energy, biodiversity, and environmental policy, combining language practice with meaningful discussion. Adult learners, eco-conscious individuals, and passionate advocates have all benefited from my approach. I provide personalized guidance to help students communicate clearly and confidently on complex topics. Lessons include reading articles, analyzing case studies, and debating solutions. I also emphasize cultural perspectives on sustainability from around the world. My goal is to make language learning relevant, engaging, and empowering. Together, we can explore both English and the critical issues facing our planet. Join me in developing your skills while contributing to a more sustainable future.

My teaching approach focuses on helping learners communicate clearly and confidently in English. Lessons cover public speaking, persuasive language, formal presentations, and audience engagement. I guide students in structuring speeches and delivering them with impact. We practice tone, pace, and body language for effective delivery. The Immigrant/Newcomer gains confidence in professional and social settings. The Heritage Learner strengthens vocabulary and clarity for formal communication. My methodology emphasizes practical exercises that build real-world skills. We use presentations, debates, and role-playing to practice. I provide consistent feedback to help learners refine their style. Students develop strategies to capture and hold their audience’s attention. Each session is designed to make English practical, relevant, and actionable. Together, we master presentation skills that leave a lasting impression. Learning becomes both effective and enjoyable.
