About Zara
I am a Math tutor with over 8 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics. Over the years, I have supported many high school students preparing for IB and A-Level examinations. My teaching focuses on building strong conceptual clarity, ensuring students understand not only the “how” but also the “why” behind every method. I believe mathematics becomes easier when learners explore diverse approaches to problem-solving. This method equips students with the flexibility to tackle both straightforward and challenging questions. A core part of my lessons involves extensive past paper practice, which builds exam readiness and confidence. My teaching approach is relaxed, supportive, and application-focused. Discrete mathematics and problem decomposition are key elements of my lessons, helping learners see how maths powers computer science. I support Architect learners by helping them structure problems clearly, and Proof Seekers by guiding them to explore rigorous explanations step by step. Past paper practice, logical puzzles, and coding-inspired examples form a major part of my sessions. This ensures students can handle both traditional exams and modern problem-solving. I keep lessons interactive and conversational, encouraging students to talk through their ideas naturally. Every challenge is broken into smaller steps to build confidence. I show how maths applies to coding, data, and real-world problem-solving. Over the years, I have seen learners gain clarity and confidence by connecting maths with digital life.
