About Nay
Before we start this journey together, I want to tell you a little bit about me—your Math and English teacher. My name is Devané. I’m not just a teacher—I’m also someone who worked really hard to get where I am today. I was the first person in my family to go to Wits University, and I’m studying to become an even better teacher for you. I’ve run my own small business, and I’ve learned how important reading, writing, and working with numbers are in real life. That’s why I want to make sure you learn these skills too—not just for school, but for your future. I grew up in a family full of stories, history, and strength. And I believe every one of you has something powerful inside you, too. In my classroom, we work hard, we lift each other up, and we always try our best. I’m excited to teach you, learn with you, and help you grow into the brilliant people I know you can be.
