About Deepali

Hi, I’m Deepali Maurya, a data engineer with over 2+ years of experience building data pipelines and working with SQL, Python and Databricks in real projects. I enjoy simplifying technical concepts so that anyone can understand them, whatever their background. I’ve also gone through data interviews myself, so I know what companies actually ask and where candidates usually get stuck or how to make a person future/job ready. I’m patient, friendly and focused on your progress, and I want you to feel confident writing queries on your own.

My teaching approach:
I teach by doing. Every concept is explained in simple language first, then we practise it straight away on real datasets and real queries. I don’t believe in memorising syntax. I want you to understand why a query works so you can write your own.

Structure of a typical class:
1. A quick recap of the last session (5 to 10 minutes)
2. A new concept explained with simple, real-life examples
3. Hands-on practice, where you write queries and I guide you
Interview-style questions on the topic
4. Practice tasks for the week/month, with feedback in the next class

What makes my classes different: I’m a working data engineer, so I teach what’s used on the job, not just textbook theory. You get real interview questions, practical scenarios like joins, window functions, CTEs and query optimisation, and honest feedback on your queries. I adapt the pace and the topics to your goal, whether that’s placements, a job switch or upskilling. Sessions are patient and beginner-friendly, and no question is too basic.
