About Chris
Born in Nottingham, I trained for four years at university and Drama school (East 15 Acting school, London). During my training, I studied and honed my craft in Stanislavski, Meisner and Naturalism as well as screen acting techniques inspired by Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg.
I have over fifteen years experience as a freelance actor and have worked in colleges as a Drama and Acting tutor (A-Level and BTEC). Furthermore, I have experience working with AQA and EdExcel exam scripts as well as Trinity Guildhall Acting and Speaking exams. I have, most recently, created and taught upon the new screen acting course at Confetti Institute of Creative Technology, Nottingham.
I work on a practical level, using Naturalism and personal experience/emotion to find the truth in performance pieces. I can aid in passing exam practice for Drama and Theatre courses as well as aiding learners in preparing for Drama school.

Stanislavski, Method and understanding given circumstances are the backbone to my approach, using the founding principles of 'realistic' performance - understanding who a character is, why they are present and what they want at any given moment.
