About Aravindh
Welcome to Chess Intelligence Club!
I’m Aravindh, and my life has been deeply intertwined with chess for the past 18 years. Over the last 9+ years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching students worldwide, helping them unlock their potential and love for this incredible game.
Chess has shaped my journey in extraordinary ways. Thanks to my dedication and passion, I completed two Master’s degrees through prestigious Erasmus scholarships, traveling to over six countries and experiencing diverse cultures — all because of chess.
My first chess teacher was my mother, and I grew up in a family where everyone played the game, including my cousin, IM Aswath S. For us, chess isn’t just about winning or losing; it’s about the joy of learning, the thrill of strategy, and the life lessons it teaches.
I’ve also realized how much mental stability plays a role in both chess and physical sports. Playing football and badminton in the evenings, then returning home for chess classes, has always brought me balance and clarity. These experiences reaffirm my belief in the transformative power of chess to enhance focus, decision-making, and resilience.
I am incredibly grateful to my parents for introducing me to this game, and I’m committed to sharing its benefits with my students and followers. Whether you’re looking to improve your skills or simply discover the beauty of chess, I’m here to guide you on this journey.
Feel free to connect with me anytime — let’s explore the endless possibilities chess has to offer!

My Teaching Techniques and Methods:
I believe in a personalized approach to teaching chess. Every student has unique strengths and learning styles, so I tailor my methods to suit their individual needs. My teaching combines theory, practical exercises, and interactive discussions. I emphasize:
Understanding the Basics: Building a solid foundation in chess principles like piece movement, board control, and opening strategies.
Tactical Training: Introducing puzzles and scenarios to enhance tactical thinking and decision-making skills.
Game Analysis: Reviewing famous games, student games, and analyzing mistakes to deepen understanding.
Practice Matches on weekends: Encouraging regular play to apply concepts and build confidence.
Class Structure:
A typical class is structured as follows:
1. Introduction (5 minutes): Brief recap of the previous lesson and outline of the day’s objectives.
2. Core Lesson (25 - 30 minutes): Focus on new concepts, techniques, or strategies through examples and discussions.
3. Practice Session (15-20 minutes): Solve puzzles or play guided games to apply what’s learned.
4. Review (5-10 minutes): Summarize key points, answer questions, and provide constructive feedback on the game.
What Sets Me Apart as a Teacher?
Interactive and Engaging: My lessons are dynamic, encouraging students to ask questions and actively participate.
Adaptable: I cater to different skill levels, from beginners learning the rules to Advanced players sharpening their strategies and tactics.
Mentorship Beyond Classes: I provide additional resources like study materials, online tools, and practice exercises to support learning outside class hours.
My classes are designed for:
School Children (Ages 4+): Beginners and young enthusiasts looking to learn the game or compete in school tournaments.
Teenagers: Intermediate players aiming to improve their ranking or prepare for advanced competitions.
Adults: Hobbyists and casual players who want to refine their skills or rediscover the joy of chess.
Goal
My primary goal is to make chess accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding, helping students build critical thinking, strategic planning, and confidence on and off the board.
