About Monique
I started my career as a Dutch as a Second Language (DSL) teacher in 2001. At that time I worked for a big government-funded Integration program. Later I started to focus on private lessons and (small) group lessons for expats, teaching both Dutch and (Business) English. In 2008 I moved to Switzerland and I decided to learn German. That was a very good experience for me as a language teacher! The lack of confidence, the inability to produce certain sounds. I think this made me a better and more understanding teacher.
I am back in The Netherlands now and hope to meet you, Dutch learner, soon!

I think it is very important to coordinate the lessons with the learner. What are your wishes, what are your learning goals? So no lesson is the same. Maybe you want to focus on pronunciation, while someone else might want to practice Dutch for specific situations. That is why I do not use the same book or method for all my classes, but use what works for you and your wishes.
