About Sheryl
I have a B.A. from the University of Waterloo(concentration in English) and a B.F.A. Magna Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa. I have taught art for the City of Ottawa, for Sunbury Art and Nature Centre and have supply taught for Charlotte County, District 10 school board. I have given private lessons as part of my personal art practice and have taught extracurricular science through Mad Science.

I bring a piece of literature that I think is important and well written and age appropriate and help the student to become very familiar with the piece. If things seem to be going well, we will analyze the piece through setting, imagery, meter, and structure. In the case where the student finds it hard to relate to the presented piece, we will work together to find something to which she/he can relate and will work to analyze that work. When this is accomplished we may refer back to the original piece.

If the lesson has to be cancelled and I am given one day's notice, there is no charge. If it is cancelled on the day, I charge half of the regular fee.
