About Dunya
My own work included a range of top professionals in the business and medical worlds. I spent ten years in the energy business before obtaining the master's degree in creative writing where I was the winner of literary prizes and spots in writing retreats. I have been published and know the rigors of that accomplishment, both in short story collections, magazines, and newspapers. The world is an interesting challenge that is enhanced by careful reading and writing in order to reach goals in understanding your participation and presence.

An English tutor trains readers and writers to unlock ways to access text in an accomplished or sophisticated manner as a first step. The second part of this endeavor is of course to capitalize that advantage into being a better writer. I majored in history at UT-Austin, with a minor in economics, and pursued careers in public relations and administrative work for medical and business leaders. The addition of a master's in creative writing led me to teaching at Austin Community College, The University of Texas at San Antonio, and other academic institutions in freshman English, creative writing, and included tutoring at those levels.
