I am a practicing attorney and a casual writer, with a focus on poetry and opinion pieces. Through my 8 years of professional tutoring and test prep experience, I've helped hundreds of people achieve their academic goals. I am an experienced one-on-one writing and test prep tutor. I specialize in essay writing, persuasive rhetoric, and ACT English, Science, and Reading prep.
I worked for 3 years as a Biology, Math, Philosophy, and Writing tutor at the University of Montevallo, and have worked with clients of all skill levels, including those with intellectual impairments and for those differently abled.
I am a certified SAT essay grader, and have worked with students prepping for a variety of standardized tests for the past 5 years.
Typically, my sessions are an hour long, with the first session acting as a diagnostic. Once the areas of need are determined, I work with the client to establish a sustainable routine of conversations and reinforcement exercise to ensure the information is retained.
I work primarily on weekends, but can be flexible across any weeknight, and I offer flexible rates to suit your needs.
