About Percy
While tutoring is certainly a passion of mine, it's also much more than that. I have a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Central Florida and have spent multiple years teaching as a Writing Center Coordinator with a local state college. This means I work with students on a day-to-day basis in order to support them in building both confidence and skill moving forward.
I often say I don't just make better papers - I make better writers. Not only will we work together on succeeding with each individual goal you have, but we will also equip you with knowledge you can apply to any writing you work on in the future.

As a Writing Center Coordinator, it's my job to ensure any level of student is equipped with the tools they need for success. My sessions are one-on-one virtual appointments that are conducted with empathy, knowledge, and a pedagogy of resourcefulness and accessibility.
Whether you're a student working on your Master's Degree or studying for the ACT/SAT, I'm fully prepared to meet you at your level and provide support. I also have experience with with ELL students, neurodivergent students, and students/faculty who are writing for specific disciplines.
My lessons are fully adaptable depending on the student; depending on what the goal for each session is, I will prepare resources beforehand that can be given to the student to take with them afterward. I am also more than willing to curate lesson plans for those who desire structure.
