I first met Ms. Deane in 2011 when she conducted some workshops in creative writing with my class. I was very impressed with her ability to arouse the creativity in my students and her excellent storytelling skills. Subsequently, she was invited on another occasion to participate in my school’s activities for World Book Day 2016. Her ability to unearth the creativity of the students was again evident. The students enjoyed her word relay activity and were instantly attracted to her exuberance and love for words. She made them realise that words are alive.
