Yale University English Major Teaching Each Step of Essay Writing, Grammar and Spelling, and Creative Writing

Over the past year, Nicole has become one of my closest friends, mostly because she is such a lovely person to be around! I’ve lived with her for several months, during which her can-do attitude and fun-loving nature made even the most boring activities more enjoyable or interesting. When she helped my parents move out of their home this past summer— it was Nicole who offered— the process was far less stressful than it would have been without her.

I haven’t had the pleasure of being taught by Nicole, but she is patient and a receptive listener. It strikes me that in conversation about unfamiliar topics and when meeting new people, Nicole can usually bring something appreciable to the table. That being said, English and writing are likely her most comfortable territory. Whenever I have to write something important, Nicole is the first person I go to for advice. She can quickly develop a nuanced understanding of others’ writing, which allows her to give helpful criticism and sometimes offer new insight. Not to mention, she is a beautiful writer herself. At Yale, she has received departmental distinction for the strength and artistry of her creative writing. I have loved reading some of her recent journalism work at the Yale Daily News.

I cannot recommend Nicole highly enough. Anyone would be lucky to work with her.

Nicole is a classmate of mine at Yale and is the only person I trust to edit my written work. Her attention to detail and her command of style, grammar, and syntax make her an excellent tutor. Beyond this, she is a kind, supportive individual who encourages her students to be as inquisitive and engaged as she is. I would recommend Nicole as a tutor to anyone!
