About Yasivan
I’m Yas, and I’m currently studying Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Brighton, with plans to work in the NHS soon. Just as I’m passionate about diagnostic radiography and helping people through healthcare, I’ve always had a natural desire to assist others in any way I can. I believe in making knowledge accessible and supporting students through their learning challenges, especially during tough times like GCSEs. I understand how difficult it can be to navigate education in a society that sometimes feels like it gatekeeps opportunities, but I want to be the person who helps open those doors. My approach is all about making learning straightforward, personalised, and stress-free. With my academic background and experience, I’m committed to helping students build confidence, understand difficult concepts, and reach their full potential. In addition to academic support, I can also offer guidance on important things for your future, such as writing personal statements for university applications. Trust me, I’ve been through the same struggles you’re facing now, and I really wish someone had been there to help me instead of having to figure it all out on my own.

My approach to tutoring focuses on creating a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions and learn at their own pace. I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs, ensuring that they understand core concepts before moving on to more complex topics. I use a variety of teaching techniques, including interactive explanations, visual aids, and practice questions, to make learning engaging and effective. Each lesson typically lasts 1-2 hours, providing enough time for in-depth understanding without feeling overwhelming. I believe in building a strong foundation, so I start with the basics and gradually increase the complexity of topics. Sometimes I just add extra 15-20 mins just to make sure my student understands the topics and making sure they master the exam styled techniques, because sometimes it's not about the money.. the impact you create to the society :) I am currently studying Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Brighton, and have experience tutoring GCSE Combined and Triple Science students. I’ve worked with a range of students, from those needing extra help to those aiming for top marks. My lessons are designed for GCSE students of all abilities, looking to strengthen their understanding of Science in a calm and supportive atmosphere.
