About Kevin
I retired from teaching last year, and am now available for private tuition. I have taught A level physics in a variety of 11-18 schools, and I've taught a variety of different A levels. I am able to teach across the ability range, and have taught many students that went on to study at Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities. I have also taught many students that have gone on to study medicine. I have trained A level Physics teachers for several years in lots of different countries such as China, Egypt and Dubai. I can tutor for any exam board. Happy to travel a bit, but exact distance will depend on location. I can only take on a couple of students at the moment as I do have other commitments, but I would happily take more if it were online. Kevin has an excellent knolwedge and understanding of the Physics curriculum. This means he is well prepared and equipped to support students in their study of physics. Kevin uses analogy and models to support the explanation of complex physics principles and problems. Kevin is able to explain ideas in an accessible way and is very good at using questioning to establish understanding.
Kevin has an extremely thorough understanding of physics, and has a lot of experience in teaching students who gain the highest grades at their first attempt at A-level physics, but also in coaching students who have struggled in their first attempts at the subject with another teacher to gain good grades later on. He has a lot of knowledge as to what is expected in exam situations of students, and expresses his thoughts with great clarity.
