About Marty
A simple man, that wants to live with purpose. I do not let the wisps of wind flow through my ear unnoticeably, as my hobbies must be cherished and developed, without sacrificing for academic gains. I love football, and hanging out with my brothers, as well as watching thoughtful anime like Death Note, and the anime connoisseur 'Hayao Miyazaki. I love English literature, particular T.S Eliot, William Wordsworth, James K Baxter, and woman orator Maya Angelou, as well as music poets like Kendrick Lamar, Juice World and Kayne West.

Literature, must be digested, not taught. Each student connects with particular poems, plays and movies differently, and one's ability to write eloquently about the work, must have some passion and appreciation towards it. Therefore, my lessons center around understanding what the student thinks about particular periods, whether the non-sensical nature of post-modernism, or the emotional distraught of romanticism, they must understand and have a good connection. A length of a lesson, should be 60minutes, where 20 minutes is going through a text, and link it to its period and the author - and the rest, would be writing summaries and analysis, in link to what we understand. My experience as a tutor, has been that students that don't pour effort into a lesson, are less likely to develop, which is why my methodology is important. This is for high-school students, or even intermediate - as I also include reading exemplars and why they write like this, arguably the most developable technique in young students to get inspiration from top scholars.
