About Yuwani
I'm a 16-year-old Year 12 student currently studying Maths, Chemistry, and Computer Science at A-Level, and I'm passionate about helping others discover that these subjects can actually be enjoyable and manageable. I remember the stress of preparing for GCSEs – the late-night revision sessions, the confusion over certain topics, and the pressure of exams – so I genuinely understand what you're going through. I started tutoring because I found that explaining concepts to classmates not only helped them but also deepened my own understanding, and there's honestly nothing more rewarding than seeing someone finally grasp a topic they've been struggling with. Teaching keeps the content fresh in my mind while allowing me to share the strategies and shortcuts that worked for me. I'm not just someone who got good grades and moved on – I'm actively using this knowledge every day in my A-Level studies, and I tutor students at my sixth form regularly. I believe learning should be encouraging rather than intimidating, and being closer in age to my students means I can relate to the challenges you face and explain things in a way that actually makes sense. Ultimately, I teach because I love these subjects and want to help you feel confident and prepared for your exams.

My lessons are designed for GCSE and KS3 students (ages 11-16) who need support in Maths, Chemistry, and Statistics. Each session typically lasts 60 minutes, though I'm flexible and can adjust to 45 or 90-minute sessions depending on your needs. I focus on understanding the 'why' behind concepts rather than just memorising formulas, breaking down complex topics into manageable steps that make sense. Having recently completed my GCSEs with a grade 8 in Maths and grade 7s in Chemistry and Statistics, I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and the common challenges students face. I currently tutor students at my sixth form, which has taught me how to explain difficult concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to different learning preferences. My lessons are interactive and tailored to you – whether you need help with homework, exam technique, understanding tricky topics, or building confidence before tests. I use worked examples, practice questions, and real exam papers to ensure you're fully prepared. As a student myself, I create a relaxed, judgement-free environment where questions are always welcome, and I genuinely enjoy helping others succeed in subjects I'm passionate about.
