About Aoife
My name is Aoife Ruane, i am a 19 years old studying French at Kings College University. I grew up in an English only speaking household, so living in London surrounded by so many different languages I was so inspired to speak another language other than English. Whilst in Year 9, I began to grow a passion for speaking French. The more I started focusing in class and completing all my homework my grades went up from a grade 3 to grade 8. However I found when I got to sixth form a lot of the students in my class came from a French speaking home, apart from me. I remember throughout GCSES, my other friends used to find French very challenging but I believe if you conquer the grammar, always highlight unknown words and read/listen to French it will become a very easy subject for you and you will learn an important life skill.
