About Peter
I'm Peter. I'm currently working full-time as a government economist, but am open to tutoring Japanese part-time.
I've had several tutoring/teaching experiences, ranging from teaching GCSE maths privately to holding group sessions teaching business people Japanese to assist with their jobs.
I graduated in 2015 with a joint-honours degree in Economics and Japanese. Since then, I've passed both the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) levels N2 and N1; with full marks on the reading component of JLPT N1. The level of this certification (N1) would allow me to undertake any role in Japan which doesn't require a native speaker, and even study in a Japanese university.
I'm patient, understanding and focus on practical application of Japanese combined with an academic focus in mastering the language. I am familiar with the current GCSE and A level syllabus, and would be happy to help prepare students for the JLPT up to N3.

Online and in-person lessons within the Colchester Essex area. Sessions are typically an hour in length and use a combination of real, practical application of spoken Japanese, as well as textbooks; which I've specifically chosen for their effectiveness.
Lessons are for all ranges from children to adults; and from those studying Japanese academically to those who want to study it as a hobby.
