About Lyra
I am a passionate and dedicated violin tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in Classical Music Performance. I have successfully trained beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students, helping them develop refined technique, strong musical interpretation, and confident stage presence.
My teaching approach is calm, structured, encouraging, and highly student-focused. I adapt every lesson to suit individual learning styles and goals, ensuring each student feels supported while gradually mastering technical accuracy, expressive playing, and overall musical artistry in a positive and motivating environment.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy performing in orchestras and chamber ensembles, studying classical masterpieces, and exploring diverse musical traditions from around the world. These experiences enrich my teaching and allow me to bring deeper artistic insight, inspiration, and real-world performance knowledge into every lesson.

My violin lessons are carefully designed to help students build a strong technical foundation while gradually developing musical sensitivity, expressive tone, and confident performance ability. Each session is fully personalised according to your age, current level, and individual learning goals, ensuring steady, structured, and enjoyable progress.
We focus on essential violin techniques such as posture alignment, bow control, finger placement, intonation accuracy, scales, shifting positions, vibrato development, rhythm control, and sight-reading skills. Lessons include classical repertoire, études, and carefully selected pieces that strengthen both technical mastery and artistic expression across various musical styles.
I strongly emphasise consistent practice, patience, discipline, and attention to detail. Students receive clear demonstrations, step-by-step guidance, and constructive feedback that help them improve efficiently while building confidence, musical awareness, and a deep lifelong appreciation for violin performance and classical music traditions.
