About Turgay
I'm Turgay, a Computer Science teacher with 27 years of experience in international schools. I hold a BSc in Computer Science Education from Middle East Technical University and work as an examiner for Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
My classroom experience spans KS3, IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma Programme Computer Science. Alongside teaching at the international schools, I have also supported students in programming projects and national and international computing competitions.
What I enjoy most is helping students move from feeling confused to being able to explain and apply an idea for themselves. I value thoughtful questions, patient explanations and steady progress. Whether you are finding the subject challenging or preparing for ambitious examination goals, I aim to make lessons supportive, purposeful and focused on developing your own understanding.

Understand the concepts, build confidence and learn how to explain your thinking clearly. I teach IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma Programme Computer Science, drawing on 26 years of international-school teaching and my work as a Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme examiner.
Lessons are tailored to your syllabus, current understanding and goals. We can work on programming, algorithms, pseudocode, computational thinking and computer science theory, alongside structured revision and examination technique.
My approach combines clear explanations, worked examples, guided practice and independent problem-solving. We identify gaps, break challenging topics into manageable steps and use targeted feedback to strengthen both understanding and confidence. For examination preparation, we practise interpreting questions and constructing precise, well-reasoned answers.
I welcome secondary-school students who need help catching up, want to strengthen their foundations or are aiming for higher grades. I hold a BSc in Computer Science Education from Middle East Technical University and bring a patient, supportive approach to each student's learning.
