About Amy
I was a teacher in middle and high school for 17 years in an urban school setting.
When I left teaching, I started working at a program for at risk students and adults.
As a middle and high school, my average class size was 25-30.

The first step in my classes was to assess at what level the students were. In a small group, or a one to one basis, it was easy to adjust to the students' level.
My teaching method was to use the K-W-L, what I know, what I want to know, and what I learned.
After the lesson, I will assess what needs to be reviewed and what students are ready to move on.
