About Darcie
I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I specialize in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a break. My goal is to create a low-pressure, encouraging space where students feel safe to explore their voice. I focus on breathwork, vocal relaxation, posture, mindfulness in music, and tone development to help students sing with ease and confidence. My teaching covers genres such as Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult, tailored to each student’s goals. I guide students in building strong technique while keeping lessons fun and inspiring. Singing is more than skill—it’s a form of self-care, creativity, and confidence. I love helping people rediscover their voice and joy in music. Whether you’re starting fresh or returning after time away, I ensure your learning journey is positive and rewarding. My singing methodology focuses on mastering multiple genres, including classical, pop, and jazz. For each style, I guide students to adapt their vocal techniques, pitch control, and musicality to fit the genre’s unique demands. This ensures versatility and artistic growth.
For the Church Ensemble Player, we work on vocal projection, harmony blending, and emotional expression suited for worship settings. For the Crossover Artist, we focus on blending styles, dynamic phrasing, and improvisation to create a distinctive sound. Both personas develop strong breath control, tone consistency, and stylistic flexibility.
I incorporate modern tools such as Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), metronomes, and pitch training apps to track progress. These tools make practice measurable and efficient. Lessons are interactive, combining ear training, technique exercises, and performance practice. Students receive tailored feedback to refine their artistry.
My aim is to help singers confidently adapt to any genre, building technical skill and artistic confidence. Singing becomes not only a skill but a powerful means of expression.
