My name is Caylisha Moodley. I love to teach. Teaching has been my number one passion. Teaching Afrikaans has also made me love my career more as I see many learners struggle. Knowing that I am helping get someone through a struggle is everything for me.

During the four years that I have been teaching Afrikaans I have noticed that no matter which school I go to, majority of the learners do not enjoy Afrikaans. In my opinion the only way to learn the subject to the best of your ability is to enjoy it. I have discovered innovative ways to make this happen. Every child is different and every child will need a different learning method. I can surely offer that. I am not trying to do the impossible by making you as a learner to learn the language as such that you need to speak to it or be able to translate every single Afrikaans word into your native language, rather I am introducing tips, tricks and methods on how to grasp the different concepts in Afrikaans and the rest will surely follow.
