About Joe
Fluency arrives when you engage with the language on a deeper level. You will find that my approach centres on your specific needs as a working professional. We prioritise role play and dialogue practice to ensure you sound authentic during formal or informal exchanges.
My 13 years of experience inform the way I structure our sessions for exam preparation like the DELF or DALF. We will dissect complex writing skills and iron out those stubborn verb conjugations together. Sometimes we focus on the rhythm of speech, and sometimes we look at the mechanics of the language itself. We work until it feels right.

Teaching feels like an extension of my life spent between music and language study. To be honest, I sometimes forget that not everyone spends their mornings parsing verb conjugations before practising vocal scales. My foundation comes from a Master of Music degree and extensive work in Modern Languages. These 13 years of teaching have allowed me to guide many individuals through the complexities of French syntax.
I have worked with 487 students who sought clarity in their communication. It is rewarding to see how a student shifts from hesitation to confidence.
We often find that the nuances of liaison and nasal sounds are easier to grasp when we treat them as musical phrasing. Watching someone finally command an idiom correctly is the highlight of my week. I find genuine joy in the process of discovery.
