About Alegría
I am a pianist and organist from Oaxaca, Mexico. I started playing piano at the age of 9 and teaching it at the age of 13.
Among the teachers with whom I’ve learned are Pierre-Arnaud Le Guérinel, Miguel Rivera Bustamante, Santiago Avendaño García (who let me I perform on important stages in my state from a very young age), Alejandro Cámara Contreras, Miguel F. Covarrubias, Andrés Cea Galán, Theo Foucheneret, Sergio Escalera; and high-level singers whom I accompanied such as Adriano Pinheiro, Adriano Soares, Kellyta Martins, Gerardo Reynoso and Luis Adrián.
In 2023, I received the INJEO Youth Award for Artistic Merit, thanks to several activities and participations in events such as:
- XXII Historical Organ Festival in Oaxaca
- 2 editions of the International Opera Festival in Tlaxiaco
- Soon, the “Yáa Sii: The Joy of Music in the Oaxacan Mixteca” Festival as the main creator and manager.
I am currently studying a piano major at the Faculty of Music of the Universidad Veracruzana, I and thanks to the great teachers, I’ve been able to perform several times in Xalapa and other cities in the State of Veracruz.

Hello! I'm Alegría and I'd be delighted to work with you or your child. We'll approach to the instrument (in addition to the lessons) through the music you like the most, and we'll study the needed theory for your practical learning to be agile. The best thing you can get from a music class are the tools to learn how to study, rather than to learn how to play. I'll be here to teach you the difference and guide you in the correct order. I'll be finding and helping you understand the learning methods that are most efficient and enjoyable for you. The classes will last 50 to 60 minutes and we'll make them a fun time!

Recomendadisima! Para mis clases primero tomo como referencia mis intereses y las temáticas que me ayudarían a aprender lo que quería. Después las explicaciones de los temas fueron super precisas y bastante claras de entender!
Es buenísima, tiene una habilidad de una en miles para lograr confianza, conexión y avance con el alumno, es súper dúctil y comprensiva, es el tipo de maestra que sí tiene alumnos pequeños, sus padres la invitan a su cumpleaños o algo así
