About Alexis
Teaching biology is less about raw data and more about how these systems talk to one another, so I structure sessions to mirror that connectivity. We start with the core logic of protein synthesis or evolutionary pressure before moving toward the nuances of the nervous system.
I provide concept maps shared after each lesson to help you visualize the relationships between anatomy and function. This visual approach ensures you do not get lost in the jargon of immunology or the cycles of mitosis. We practice exam technique during every session to ensure your knowledge translates to points. You will be expected to explain the circulatory system or natural selection in your own words.
Biology feels like a mountain of facts until you see the underlying architecture. I focus on that architecture because it makes the rest of the information stick, and that is where we begin.

Evolution and natural selection are simple concepts until the exam questions complicate them. I teach with a focus on human anatomy and the intricate functions of the nervous system. My 4 years of experience have helped 98 students navigate complex topics like mitosis, meiosis, and immunology basics.
I earned an MD from UC San Francisco School of Medicine to ground my teaching in clinical reality. Many of my students are college freshmen or adult learners returning to science. They often struggle with protein synthesis or the mechanics of the circulatory system. My method emphasizes exam technique over passive review.
I have helped A-level students and exam candidates strip away the fluff of dense textbooks. I prefer to keep my teaching grounded in what actually appears on the test.
