About Jessica Ji
I am studying for a Bachelor of Optometry at the University of Auckland. I love expressing myself through performing and composing music. I have completed my grade 8 piano and grade 5 music theory exams with Distinction. I also enjoy volunteering for various charities/organisations/events. I gained the maximum rank score of 320 in NCEA Level 3 and did the first year of biomedical science in 2021 at UoA. In 2021, I earned a First in Course award for CHEM150 and Outstanding Achievement in Chemical Science for CHEM 110. I have tutored students from primary school to university-level mathematics, calculus, chemistry, physics, music, and piano lessons with 4+ years of experience. I am passionate about helping people and find tutoring rewarding to inspire students to do well, find techniques to make studying more enjoyable, and ultimately improve their grades. It is preferred for students to come to the CBD for tutoring. I can also do online Zoom lessons or meet you at a library or cafe. There will be a charge for further distances, to cover time and transport.

Perfect! Jessica is a great Science tutor. From the first tutoring sessions, she made the lessons comfortable and enjoyable, which really helped my daughter feel more confident. She explains NCEA Level 1 Science clearly and makes the topics easier to understand. She is organised, professional, and easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend her to other students needing help with NCEA Science
