About Arthur
"Singing is a physical conversation between your body and the acoustic space. Everything begins with breath.
We will utilise my 13 years of operatic background to refine your head and chest voice transitions. My sessions are centred on the specific needs of adult hobbyists and exam candidates who want to sing with purpose. You will find that our work on rhythm and phrasing is both technical and deeply satisfying.
We focus heavily on performance confidence to ensure you feel secure on stage. My role involves listening for the subtle tensions that hold your voice back from its potential.
I prioritise consistency in our warm up routines to protect your instrument long term. It is genuinely enjoyable to watch a singer discover the ease of a well supported note. We cultivate a space where your unique vocal identity can truly thrive."

"Hobbyists often arrive at my studio carrying the weight of past performance anxiety. The scent of old sheet music and the quiet focus of a recital hall define my teaching space. You might be a returning learner or a teenager preparing for a grade exam, and both groups require a distinct touch.
My MMus from the Guildhall combined with my BA from Oxford allows me to approach vocal pedagogy with both scholarly rigour and artistic grace. I have spent 13 years on opera stages, which means I understand exactly what it takes to manage pitch control and vibrato under pressure. My expertise extends to belting techniques, breathing control, and range extension.
I enjoy the process of warm up exercises that prepare the body for sustained, healthy production. It is a pleasure to guide you towards a more resonant, confident voice. I remain your dedicated guide in this musical journey."
