About Matthieu
I have taught in seven different schools and conservatories, which has given me the opportunity to meet a large number of students, all very different from one another. These experiences have taught me a great deal about my own approach to teaching and about the importance of adapting to each student, their personality, level, and individual needs. Over the years, I have discovered different ways of sharing my knowledge while developing my own teaching approach. Each school, each conservatory, and each student I have worked with has brought me something new and has helped me continue to grow as a teacher.

My name is Matthieu, I am a Pianist, composer, and educator with over ten years of experience and I
hold two Master’s degrees in Jazz Piano and Composition. Drawing on my experience as an internationally active performer, I help students develop their technique, musical ear, creativity, and artistic identity, adapting my teaching
to each student’s level, goals, and needs. As an internationally recognized pianist and composer,
I have collaborated with leading jazz musicians and have received distinctions such as the NOVA Jazz Composition Prize, ZKB Jazz Preis, and JazzBeet Competition in 2021.
