About Lauren
I’m an experienced primary school teacher who is passionate about helping children feel confident, capable and proud of their learning.
I became a teacher because I love seeing that moment when something finally clicks — when a child who thought they “couldn’t do it” suddenly realises they can.
I believe that every child can succeed, but not every child learns in exactly the same way. That’s why I love 1:1 tutoring. It gives me the time to really get to know each student, understand how they learn best and tailor every session to them.
Whether your child is preparing for SATs, the 11+, or simply needs a little extra support with Maths, English or Reading, my aim is to make learning feel positive, achievable and enjoyable.
I don’t want students to simply learn how to pass a test. I want them to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to approach challenges independently and believe in themselves.

Why 1:1 tutoring?
In a busy classroom, it can be difficult for every child to receive the individual attention they need. During 1:1 sessions, we can slow down when something feels tricky, move on when your child is ready, and revisit concepts as often as needed.
I use ongoing assessment to identify exactly where your child needs support, then tailor each session accordingly. This means tuition isn't simply about completing worksheets — it's about understanding how your child learns best and helping them develop the skills and confidence to become more independent learners.
For children preparing for SATs or the 11+, sessions can focus on developing core knowledge, practising exam-style questions, building time-management skills and, importantly, reducing anxiety around assessments.
