About Samuel
I am from Cali, Colombia. The capital of Salsa of the world! I migrated to the United States many years ago and have lived in many places in the US, such as California, Virginia, and Florida!
Although I arrived to the US not speaking English, my efforts allowed me to graduate from top public universities such as the University of Virginia and the University of California San Diego. I received the San Diego Fellowship from UCSD to complete a master's in Latin American Studies and have continuously taught in the Linguistics Department for the Spanish program for 6 years.
I love to teach (and learn) about language, history, culture, politics, music, literature and many other things.
In my free time I am always learning. I have experience in music production and composition, sound engineering, computer programming, and UX/UI design.

You will learn Spanish by learning about the Spanish speaking world. Learning a language is not like learning anything else... Language is the way that humans communicate and connect the interior self with the exterior world. It is how we create relationships but also culture, societies, civilizations, etc. Therefore it is important to learn a language with all of this context.
I teach in a way in which we interact about the world while you learn the language in an interactive and communicative manner; combining conversation with grammatical analysis so that you can increase your level of understanding of the language with every lesson. Think of it as learning Spanish Culture 101+ in university while learning the language.
