About Amber
Biology helps us understand the pulse of the living world, which is why I enjoy teaching it. Truthfully, I find the scientific method more exciting than most people expect. I have taught 88 students who needed help with molecular biology, evolution, and natural selection.
My experience as a Doctor of Medicine Candidate at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine informs how I approach ecology and ecosystems. We often navigate mitosis and meiosis together by drawing out the processes. I enjoy seeing students connect these concepts to the bigger picture. My own academic path keeps me grounded when I talk about these core biological themes.

The smell of dry-erase markers usually signals that we are about to solve a difficult data analysis problem. Connecting graphs to biological theory is where I see the most breakthroughs for high schoolers, college freshmen, and homeschoolers.
I provide free access to my labelled diagram notes to help you visualize complex systems. My role is to simplify the dense terminology found in textbooks. Because I am a 4th year medical student, I show you how to apply these ideas to real-world scenarios.
